What defines a private cloud?

A private cloud is specifically defined as a dedicated cloud infrastructure used exclusively by one organization. This setup allows the organization to have full control over their cloud environment, including resources, security, and compliance measures. Since the infrastructure is not shared with other businesses or organizations, it can be customized to meet specific organizational needs and requirements.

In a private cloud, the infrastructure can either be physically located on the organization's premises (on-premises) or hosted by a third-party service provider, but the critical aspect is that it remains solely accessible to that single organization. This enhances security and privacy compared to public clouds, which are accessible to the general public, and hybrid clouds, which combine elements of both public and private clouds.
